Album of the day – “Rhymes and Reasons”

Released in 1969 by RCA Records, Rhymes and Reasons was John Denver’s debut album. In his recent autobiography, Milt Okun, Denver’s longtime producer and friend, declared “Rhymes and Reasons” one of his favorite lyrics:

“For the children and the flowers are my sisters and my brothers,
Their laughter and their loveliness would clear a cloudy day.
Like the music of the mountains and the colors of the rainbow,
They’re a promise of the future and a blessing for today.”

Rhymes and Reasons is now digitally remastered and available as part of the RCA Albums Collection.
